Gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Alles Mögliche stellt Keum Art Projects ab Dezember 2016 eine Serie von eintägigen Ausstellungen vor. Für „One on One“ laden Keum Art Projects und das Institut für Alles Mögliche jeweils ein/e Künstler/in ein, um eine dialogische Auseinandersetzung mit räumlichen und situativen Begebenheiten zu initiieren. Zur gemeinsamen Entwicklung und Präsentation ihrer Arbeiten stehen den zwei ausgewählten Künstlern ein Tag und ein Raum zur Verfügung.

Den Auftakt der Serie „One on One“ machen der koreanische Künstler Jimok Choi und die australische Künstlerin Linda Tegg. Beide interessieren sich in ihrer Arbeit für die physische Wahrnehmung des Raumes und die körperliche Präsenz des Performers. Sei es soziales System, Alltagsrituale oder das Verhältnis zwischen Natur und Kunst, Choi und Tegg stellen Vertrautes in Frage, indem sie es durch physische Eingriffe aufbrechen. Mit ihren ganz eigenen Strategien wollen sie in „One on One“ unsere Raum-Erfahrungen auf die Probe stellen, ihr Hilfsmittel dabei: Ein Stück Papier und eine Schere. Vor dem Publikum werden die Künstler ein dialogisches Spiel aus Beschneiden, Addieren, Überlappen und Verschieben aufführen. Der Raum soll in Bewegung versetzt werden: Wohin der Abend sie und die Besucher führen wird, wissen sie nicht. Das Ende ist offen.

As of December 2016, Institute für Alles Mögliche and Keum Art Projects will present a series of one-day exhibitions. For "One on One" two artists are invited to initiate a dialogue about perception of spatial and timely limitation. For the joint development and presentation of their works, the two selected artists will have a day and a room at their disposal.

The first day of "One on One" will be launched by the Korean artist Choi Jimok and the Australian artist Linda Tegg. Both are interested in their work for the physical perception of the space requiring the physical presence of the performer. Be it social system, daily rituals or the relationship between nature and art, Choi and Tegg question the conventional by breaking it through physical and sensual interventions. With the tools of a piece of paper and a pair of scissors both artists will perform a dialogical play of cutting, adding, overlapping and moving. The space is to be set in motion. They want to put our sensual perception of the space to the test: whereto the evening will lead both artists and visitors, we don’t know yet. The end is open.

Jimok Choi, (* 1981, Berlin) obtained degrees of MFA from the Muthesius Kunsthochschule, Kiel  as a masterclass of Prof. Piotr Nathan. He received various scholarships and prizes such as the Muthesius Prize of the Muthesius Society 2014, Kiel, a scholarship from the Künstlerhaus Lauenburg / Elbe 2014, a scholarship of the Cultural Foundation of the State of SH, 2011 and the DAAD Prize of Muthesius Kunsthochschule 2009. Linda Tegg, (*1979, Melbourne/Chicago) obtained degrees from The University of Melbourne and RMIT University and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The Artist was the Samstag Scholar of 2014, The Georges Mora Foundation Fellow of 2012 and has received numerous Australia Council for the Arts, and Arts Victoria Grants. Recent Solo exhibitions include; cameratrap, Fresh Window Gallery, Brooklyn, 2016; Grasslands, The State Library of Victoria, Melbourne, 2014; Choir, Westspace, Melbourne 2014; Coexistence, MARSO Galleria, Mexico City, 2012.
